The
French Language Institute prepares students for
the examinations of the DALF and the TEF, diplomas
that are recognized the world over. These exams
take place in the spring and at the end of the
academic year. They are accessible to students
who pay the relevant registration fees.
Diplôme
approfondi de langue française - DALF
(advanced diploma of the French language)
This language diploma is under the control of
French universities. It is prepared at two different
levels, C1 and C2, in reference to the Common
European Frame of Reference for the teaching
of languages. Foreign students who passed the
DALF are not required by universities to sit
for the language proficiency entrance examination
test. They are considered as being on the same
linguistic level as the French-speaking students.
The examinations are taken in Lyon at the end
of the school year.
Test d'évaluation
de français - TEF (French Evaluation
Test)
The
Test d'évaluation de français
or TEF (French Evaluation Test) is aligned
with the Common European Reference Framework
and run by the Paris Chamber of Commerce.
It is offered to students at the beginning
and at the end of the aca demic year and allows
each individual to have a personalised measure
of the various skills they have acquired.
Students receive their evaluation certificate
at the end-of-year graduation ceremony.
