Learning Media Library open to all

The Alfred Vaucher Library is the Resource Centre of the Campus Adventiste du Salève. It serves the Theology Faculty, the Institut de français langue étrangère and the Human Sciences Institute. It also serves teaching staff, Primary and Secondary School students.

The Library is also open to off-campus readers or researchers.

The Alfred Vaucher  Library is a learning media Library; you can find books, periodicals, audio cassettes, cd-roms, dvds, video cassettes, slides, posters and microfiles. The Library provides several consultation sites. 

The catalogue

The digital catalogue regroupes documentary resources for 4 departments:

  • The Faculté adventiste de théologie (FAT)
  • TheInstitut de français langue étrangère (I-fle)
  • The Maurice-Tièche Primary School
  • The Maurice-Tièche Secondary School

The Library includes books of the following three Research Centres:

  • Ellen White Research Centre
  • José Figols Research Centre
  • Adventist Records and Archives

Library membership card

The Library's main function is to serve the four learning departments; however, it is open to everyone, and on-site consultation is free of charge. Public lending of books is only available to students with a student card and registered library users. In order to become a registered-user, you will need your ID card and a valid email address.

Semester opening hours

  • Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 8am - 12:45pm, 2pm - 9pm
  • Wednesday: 8:00am - 12:45pm, 2:00pm - 7:00pm
  • Friday 8:00am - 12:45pm
  • Sunday: 9:30am - 12:30pm
  • During school vacations, the opening hours are posted at the entrance of the library.
