I like this quote from Kirkegaard: “Life is not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced.” Knowing how to position ourselves in this world according to our Christian values is the difficult balancing act we must perform. Between heritage and progress, openness and firmness, absolutes and reality, there are many tensions at play. Stability is not found in blind conviction, but requires asking the right questions. Without that, there can be no good answers. The Bible is the guide that constantly questions us in our lives in order to find the cornerstone on which we can build. That's good, because I like to build.
